Description

I went into ward #45 in Madison Wisconsin to register and vote. I brought proof of residency and my photo id (California Drivers license), and I provided my social security number. The Chief Inspector at my polling place told me that because I did not have a Wisconsin ID I would need to submit a Provisional Vote. He informed me that my vote would not be counted, that they would put my ballot in an envelope and that the only way my vote would be counted was if there was a re-count. He said that this was my only option. I felt that this person was trying to convince me not to vote and to walk away without even filling out a Provisional ballot.
